Congrats on the great new library for pod casts! We enjoyed the story of that first fish on a fly and of the man in Utah who was of so much help. What a great way to share.

Hi Susan - What a nice story! Reminds me of when I first started. Great idea for sharing experiences with other fly fishers. Let's go fishing!!! Look forward to learning a thing or two from you.

hahahaha...As uaual, You made me sound way better then I really am. The critical mass issue I wish to respond to here concerns what you have to say regarding seeking instruction. Spending 3-4 hundred dollars for a day of guiding will seem excessive to many. As with any endeavor, there is a learning curve associated with fly fishing. A day spent with a well intentioned guide that is willing to spew information through the day, coupled with a client willing to assimilate that information can easily take a year off that learning curve. As you know when I guide I would try to get novice clients to take fish by dry fly, nymph, & streamer & would try to convey at least the rudimentary skills of these three techniques. One day on the river versus a year off the learning curve. You do the math. I was dissappointed you made no comment as to how devastatingly handsome & charming I am. Have I ever mentioned how proud of you I am. You...more then any angler I ever guided, were always willing no matter under what conditions, to spend the time acquiring & mastering the skills necessary to become a successful angler.
